Villa Müller. El paseo arquitectónico de Adolf Loos

Abstract

Una de las obras más importantes de Adolf Loos es la Villa Müller, donde plantea las ideas iniciales del espacio de vivienda en la arquitectura moderna, muchas de las cuales influirían en personalidades como Le Corbusier. Las limitaciones constructivas de la época no evitan que Loos busque proyectar la planta libre, e innove con los recorridos y relaciones espaciales mediante el Raumplan. Esta obra puede situarse como un edificio que se ha proyectado hacia el futuro, con grandes aportes a la arquitectura moderna europea en su etapa de consolidación. El análisis busca encontrar estas primeras ideas, que luego serían desarrolladas con mayor fuerza debido a los avances en la construcción.

One of the most important works of Adolf Loos is the Villa Müller, where the architect raises the initial ideas of living space in modern architecture, many of which would influence the likes of Le Corbusier. The structural limitations of the time do not stop Loos ´ project to design the open floor plan, and innovate with tours and spatial relationships by the raumplan. This work can be positioned as a forward-looking building, with large contributions to what became the european modern architecture in its consolidation phase. The analysis seeks to find these early ideas, which would then be developed with greater strength due to advances in construction.
