Una utopía de ser-en-el-mundo: Historia de Mayta, de Mario Vargas Llosa

Abstract

En este ensayo analizamos la novela Historia de Mayta (1984) de Mario Vargas Llosa y cómo las voces del inconsciente, la voz en la fantasía, en el deseo y en las pulsiones, influyen en la búsqueda del ser del hombre por ser-en-el-mundo. En este sentido, el personaje Mayta resulta la metáfora de la utopía de ser-en-el-mundo. Para ello, recurrimos a las reflexiones de Madlen Dolar con respecto a la voz, y a la teoría de ser-en-elmundo desde la perspectiva filosófica de Martin Heidegger.

In this essay we analyze the novel The real life of Alejandro Mayta (1984), written by Mario Vargas Llosa, and the way the voices of the unconscious —the voices of fantasy, desire and pulsions— influence in the man search for his being-in-the-world. In this sense, Mayta turns out to be the metaphor of the beingin-the-world’s utopia. For this reason, we turn to Madlen Dolar's reflections regarding to the voice, and to Martin Heidegger’s theory of being-in-the-world for a philosophical perspective.
